Baby Sid has a slight grin, even with her arms bound high above. At first she wears white socks as we stroke her with canes. Then we peel off the socks and apply our canes while she looks at the camera with a hard-to-read smile. Blindfolding her, we stroke ever harder on her naked insteps and heels. The tap-tap-tap cane sound is almost hypnotic. We remove the blindfold, give her a few smacks on the soles with a slapper, and move ahead into the cane countdown from 50. For a moment Sid suddenly gets confused over numbers, but tries hard to get it right!
